This Halloween, F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent classic Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror comes to life on the big screen at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel. With striking imagery that has burrowed into the dark corners of the public’s psyche for the past century, this horror masterpiece is as immortal as its iconic antagonist.
LA Opera’s new Artist in Residence, Matthew Aucoin, will create, curate, and conduct a new score for chamber orchestra, incorporating composers of Murnau’s time such as Schreker, Zemlinsky, Korngold, Webern and Berg, as well as new music composed by Aucoin himself.
Tickets on sale June 19th.
